In Dito at Ngayon, artist Melvin Pollero weaves together images that explore the circumstances of society that coalesce with his life as a father, a husband, a painter, and an activist. Like a journal, he visualizes the things he simply encounters every day as he begins to view life in a bigger perspective. Through his semantics as an artist, he transforms these stories into surreal images, adding wit and whimsy to an otherwise dreadful exposition of the common man’s public struggles and the overall state of a world caught in unrest and sociopolitical turmoil.
